Timber
The Foundation timberland investment consists of 77,585 acres.
The timberland investment was valued at $179,128,000, at June 30, 2025. Timber investment represents 38.2% of the net assets of the Foundation. Timber is an asset with attributes of constancy in value, low volatility and a manageable cash flow.
Timber activities in fiscal year 2025 to date include:
- Revenue from the timber investment of $3.269 Million for the fiscal year 2025, ended June 30, 2025.
- The revenue is generated from:
- Clear-cut sales and pay-as-cut sales of 2,025 acres;
- Thinning on more than 2,000 acres; and
- 109 hunt leases on more than 76,000 acres.
- The revenue is generated from:
- In December 2024, 2,300 acres were planted with ArborGen Mass Control Pollinated seedlings with projected greater volume.
- In fiscal year 2025, all Foundation timberland received American Tree Farm Certification, a mark of sustainable forest management.
Total revenue from the sale of timber since the beginning of the Foundation’s timber operations has been more than $167 Million.
